Most of the other translations that I have read
seem to over-simplify everything to the point that often they
read like a children's book. My congregation is more
sophisticated than that (or at least they consider themselves to
be so). I didn't want to "insult their intelligence".
Then I saw
your translation in the e-Sword list, and it was love at first
sight. I used to have to piece together readings from many
different translations in order to build a sermon that "read
well" and had an even "flow". With the ISV I can use the text just
as it appears, which leaves me more time to concentrate on the
message itself.
